With the announcement that Easyjet are to start flights from
Gatwick to Moscow in June, now is the ideal time to plan a visit to this
These new flights make Moscow so much easier to visit, without breaking the bank to get there. Ideal for a short weekend you
can also extend your stay and include St Petersburg on your itinerary thanks to
the improved railway services between the two cities.
Moscow itself has so much to offer from Red Square to the
Kremlin, the Bolshoi Ballet to St Basils Cathedral, there really is so much to
see and experience. A visit to the Moscow State Circus or some shopping at its
two main shopping centres Gum (next to Red Square) and Tsum, both completely
over the top shopping malls, are a must.
So much to see and do and now even more accessible, Russia
really should be on your list of places to visit.
We can offer an 8 day
tour to Moscow & St Petersburg including:
Return economy class flights
3 nights accommodation
in Moscow with breakfast
4 nights accommodation in St Petersburg with breakfast

tickets between the two cities

Recently very good clients of ours, Lorraine and Bill, took a trip to Churchill, Manitoba, in northern Canada. They answer questions about their trip and describe its highlights...
Why did you decide to travel to Churchill? We decided upon the trip to Churchill as we both
wanted to see Polar Bears in the wild. The time for Polar Bear activity
around Churchill is for about 6 weeks only, around November, so we decided to
risk the cold and go for it.
What was the highlight of your trip?
highlight of the trip
came on days 2 and 4 when we were transferred to the tundra buggy launching
area; on both days we
saw numerous Polar Bears. We also saw an Arctic Fox, a Red Fox and a group of
Ptarmigan. The Polar Bears sometimes come up right alongside the buggy so you
had a really close look at them and were able to get some good photographs. Binoculars were
necessary to view wildlife at a distance.
What would be your top tip for visitors?
The top tip for
this trip is to make sure that you dress very warmly
indeed, with a couple of layers. The temperature in Churchill during our
stay was -12°C, but as there was a 53kph north wind
blowing, this reduced the temperature to around -22°C!
On day 3 we were
taken to the outskirts of Churchill where we participated in a dog sleigh ride
on a mile long circuit for around 15-20 minutes. You need to dress especially
warmly for this activity as there is a bitingly cold wind during the ride.
Out of all of the trips you have booked with us, which stands out?
One of the highlights was the China and trans-mongolian/siberian rail journey we undertook
from Beijing to Moscow over 11 days in 2010; the scenery was stunning to say
have used Robert Broad Travel
for all of our numerous worldwide adventures since 2004. We have found that
their knowledge of destinations is exemplary and nothing seems too much trouble
for them. All the itineraries have worked out as planned and we cannot think of
anything that did not meet expectations. We have holidays planned with RBT next
year for Australia and India.
